“More Than I Can Bear” is a track filled with intricate lyricism and wordplay, expressing J. Monty’s freedom in Christ, realizing that God will not give him more than he can carry. The track follows J. Monty’s recent separation with his label, his church, and wife. Amidst his recent trials, he can’t help but look to Jehovah as his only hope.
The track is the lead single off of his upcoming 2020 project. This would be his first release as an independent artist since his 2015 album Second Born and his first single since September 2019 track “100 Bars Pt. 4.”
